At Springwood State High School we are committed to providing a personalised learning experience for every student. Every endeavour is made to explore and encourage student's individual interests and to make appropriate subject choices which then leads to future pathways.
Our curriculum is wide and varied, offering choices in Queensland Studies Authority subjects, along with Vocational Education modules, and school-based subjects for our senior students, with key learning areas in the middle phase of learning. The junior school curriculum provides each student with a comprehensively balanced program of general education that stimulates, inspires, motivates and pushes the boundaries of the students' cognitive, affective and physical abilities. Extension opportunities are provided for gifted students as well as support programs in the areas of literacy and numeracy.
Springwood State High School is proud of our tradition of excellence in academic, cultural and sporting pursuits. Our school has extensive links with its community and local businesses. These organisations strongly support their local youth while our close working relationship with our cluster primary schools promote a continuous link between primary and secondary education.
Full details of courses can be found in the Subject Selection Handbooks which are updated each year. These can also be obtained as a hardcopy via the school office.
