At Springwood State High School, we welcome enrolment enquiries throughout the year. As we do not have an enrolment plan, we are able to enrol students who do not live in our catchment area, at our discretion.
Parents/Guardians wishing to enrol a student at Springwood State High School need to attend an interview with their child and a member of the school administration team. This interview can be booked through the school office and aims to share information so that the school can better cater for the needs of each individual student. The interview will take approximately thirty minutes. Uniforms can be ordered and school fees paid at the conclusion of the interview.
A school enrolment package will need to be completed prior to attending the interview and is available for download from the related links on the right hand side of this page or via the school office.
The following documents are required at the time of the enrolment interview:
- Student's birth certificate.
- Passport and relevant visa if coming from overseas.
- Student's two most recent school reports.
- NAPLAN results.
- Transfer certificate (if available and if coming from another Queensland State School).
- Copies of any Custody and Access Orders issued by the Family Court (if applicable.)
- Child in care documentation (if applicable).
- Medical requirement information.

Additionally, the Principal hosts open days at various times of the year for any prospective parents and students to attend. These are advertised on our website and in our newsletter.
An orientation day is held in Term 4 of each year for students who are making the transition from primary to secondary education.
During orientation, students will meet in the multi purpose shelter and undertake a program of familiarisation into secondary school life by experiencing some mini classes and meeting with student leaders.
Change of student details
It is of great importance that Springwood State High School have the most up-to-date contact information for students and their parents.
Mobile phone numbers and email addresses often change as well as addresses and emergency contact information. Without the correct information, staff cannot quickly contact parents in case of emergency, newsletters and other important information cannot be forwarded and absentee notifications cannot be sent.
